I have nothing to wear.

Just a midwest girl with big dreams and evidently nothing to wear.

Tried out red lipstick today!! I was inspired after Stef and I watched Titanic last night, for probably the hundredth time in my life. Lately, I have been obsessed with blues and yellows together so you’ll probably see more combos like this. This dress is great for a day look or transitioning in to a fun night outfit with heels and bolder accessories.

Spent the day at the Jardin du Luxembourg. It was beautiful and very green! This is near where my school will be and my classes start Monday. Can’t wait to spend more afternoons here, lounging around and reading a book.

Stef and I made our own pizza!! Goat cheese as the base sauce, then egg plant, onions, olives, and we added slices of brie cheese! It was soooo yummy :)

VERSAILLES!!! I couldn’t wait to explore around Versailles, and it was so beautiful! I took over 100 photos because there was so much beauty. Here are a few of my favorites!

The Gardens!!! I could have spent hours exploring the beautiful greenery at Versailles, it was definitely my favorite part of my tour. There were so many spots you could get lost in, but in this photo are the main gardens outside the palace that, like the movie, Marie Antoinette took daily strolls through.

How could you not be happy waking up in this room every morning? Probably because they’re were always 20 other people in the room watching you when you wake. The pattern on the wall is so beautiful! I still can’t get over how detailed every last thing was throughout the palace. There was so much to look at.

Marie Antoinette has to be one of my favorite movies, and probably Kristen Dunst’s only good movie. This room is not in Versailles, but through the gardens and in Grande Trianon where the King and Queen would hold social gatherings for game night, usually poker or other card games. I remembered this scene in Marie Antoinette, and it was exactly as I pictured it, though surprisingly small.

The second I came across the Grande Trianon, I knew I had seen this beautiful entrance before. I finally placed it, and remembered a shot in Vogue magazine that was covered in the documentary The September Issue. Grace Coddington was the creator of the scene and it was definitely breathtaking. I wish I could’ve found the actual photo from Vogue online though.

These are a few of my favorite things!! (Sans Julie Andrews) I completely fell in love with Versailles. It was my must-see place while in Paris, and it couldn’t have been more magical. This yellow room was simply gorgeous, and I imagined a wonderful fashion shoot while walking through. I couldn’t get over how luxurious and beautiful every last detail was. The ice cream parlor was a nice addition to the gardens too!

Welcome to the 16th arrondissement, my neighborhood while in Paris. My classes haven’t started yet so today I laid out by the Eiffel Tower, read a book, and ate baguettes with pesto! Seriously I cannot believe that is how I spent my day, so unreal!
